Want to play college basketball?  Does your son love basketball and would like to get recruited and receive a full or partial scholarship in college?

Now more than ever there are opportunities to play college Sports with small NAIA colleges or transferring from a JC to the NCAA. If college coaches are not calling you right now then you are not on the radar.

We have set up a clinic with local college coaches, college administrators and prep resources. This is open to all players in 8th grade through high school. ALL players may participate including playoff players. Even if you play for a different club or don’t play AAU this clinic is for you!  Players in attendance will have a recruiting packet sent to local college coaches, including the current school they attend, current grade and GPA. Players are recommended to have 5 min of game film (NOT just Highlights) (Quarter or Half of a Game) for the coaches on the player’s behalf on YouTube or huddle.

Players

6:00-7:30 Players will be put through drills in stations with local college coaches. Each station will be run by a different college coach. This clinic will run for 2 hours.

Parents/Players

7:30-7:45 Guest speaker Paul Edwards Sacramento State Director of The Student Athlete Resource Center will do question and answers for parents. (NCAA Eligibility/Admissions)

7:45-8:00 NCAA D1 Creighton University Big East Bryce Newell Creighton University. Discussion on the college application process and financial aid.

8:00-8:10 Guest speaker Scott Becker Granite Bay SAT Test Prep (www.granitebaytestprep.com)

 

Players and Parents (Coaches Questions and Answers)

8:10-9:00 College Coaches will talk to the group about their programs and answer questions. What is NAIA college basketball? What is a Grey Shirt? What is a Red Shirt? How JR college coaches get players to D1 & D2 schools.

Coaches committed to attend as coaches or guest speakers. (NOTE~ D1 NCAA coaches are unable to attend due to NCAA rules) alphabetically listed by Last Name at scheduled but not guaranteed in attendance.
